Refund policy

At CameraHUB, we want you to shop with confidence. If you need to return an item, please read this Refunds and Returns Policy carefully before submitting your request.
This policy applies to purchases made through CameraHUB and operates alongside your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or modifies any rights you may have under applicable consumer law.
1. Change of Mind Returns
CameraHUB accepts change of mind returns within 30 days after delivery, provided the item is unused, unopened and in resaleable condition.
To be eligible for a change of mind return, the item must meet all of the following conditions:
- The item is unused
- The item is unopened
- The item is unaltered
- The item is in its original packaging
- The item includes all accessories, manuals, inserts, tags, seals and protective materials where applicable
- The item is in resaleable condition
- Proof of purchase is provided
For product integrity, resale and quality control reasons, CameraHUB may decline a change of mind return if the item has been opened, used, tested, installed, assembled, damaged after delivery, marked, altered, missing parts, missing original packaging, or is otherwise not in a condition suitable for resale.
Change of mind returns must be approved by CameraHUB before the item is sent back. Please do not return an item without contacting us first, as this may delay or prevent your return from being processed.
2. How to Start a Return
To request a return, please email:
Please include the following details in your email:
- Your full name
- Your order number
- The item or items you wish to return
- The reason for the return
- Clear photos, where relevant
Once we receive your request, we will review it and provide return instructions if your request is approved for return assessment.
Please do not send items back without written approval from CameraHUB.
3. Return Shipping Costs for Change of Mind Returns
For change of mind returns, the customer is responsible for arranging and paying for the return shipping cost.
The customer is also responsible for any return-related costs, including postage, packaging, tracking, insurance and any other associated return expenses.
If your original order qualified for free shipping, the actual outbound shipping cost incurred by CameraHUB will be deducted from your refund for approved change of mind returns. This applies where the item was delivered correctly and the return is not due to a fault, damage, incorrect item or issue covered by Australian Consumer Law.
Original shipping charges, express shipping fees, insurance charges and other delivery-related fees are non-refundable for change of mind returns, unless otherwise required under Australian Consumer Law.
We recommend using a tracked shipping service when returning an item, as CameraHUB is not responsible for returned parcels that are lost or damaged in transit back to us.
4. Damaged Items or Damaged Parcels on Delivery
If your parcel arrives visibly damaged, or if the contents appear damaged in transit, please contact CameraHUB within 24 hours of delivery at info@camerahub.com.au.
To help us assess the issue and arrange an appropriate resolution, please include:
- Your order number
- Clear photos of the outer packaging
- Clear photos of the shipping label
- Clear photos of the internal packaging
- Clear photos of the damaged item
- A short video showing the damage or issue where relevant
Please do not dispose of the item, packaging, shipping box, labels or internal protective materials until we have reviewed your claim. These may be required for courier investigation, supplier assessment or claim support.
Reporting damage within 24 hours helps us investigate the matter promptly and, where relevant, raise the issue with the courier or shipping provider. This does not limit any rights you may have under Australian Consumer Law.
5. Faulty, Incorrect or Not as Described Items
If you receive an item that is faulty, incorrect, unsafe, significantly different from its description, or otherwise does not meet consumer guarantees, please contact us as soon as possible at info@camerahub.com.au.
Please include:
- Your order number or proof of purchase
- A clear description of the issue
- Photos of the item and packaging
- A short video showing the fault or issue where relevant
- Any other information reasonably required to assess the claim
Depending on the issue and your rights under Australian Consumer Law, the resolution may include a repair, replacement, refund or another suitable remedy.
Please do not dispose of the item unless we advise you to do so.
6. Refund Processing
Once your approved return has been received and inspected, we will notify you of the outcome.
If your return is approved, your refund will be processed to your original payment method, unless otherwise agreed or required by law.
For approved change of mind returns, your refund may have applicable deductions, including the actual outbound shipping cost incurred by CameraHUB where your order qualified for free shipping.
Please allow a reasonable processing period for:
- Return inspection
- Return approval
- Refund processing
- Bank or payment provider processing times
If a returned item does not meet the conditions of this policy for a change of mind return, CameraHUB may decline the return or offer a partial refund where appropriate. If the return is declined, the item may be sent back to you at your cost.
7. Items That May Not Be Eligible for Change of Mind Returns
Change of mind returns may not be accepted for items that are:
- Opened
- Used or tested
- Installed or assembled
- Altered in any way
- Damaged after delivery
- Incomplete
- Missing original packaging
- Missing accessories, manuals, inserts, seals, tags or protective materials
- Not in resaleable condition
- Marked as final sale or non-returnable, where permitted by law
This section applies only to change of mind returns and does not limit any rights you may have under Australian Consumer Law.
8. Exchanges
We do not guarantee exchanges for change of mind purchases.
If you would like a different item, please contact us first. In many cases, the fastest option is to place a new order and request a return for the original item, provided it meets the change of mind return conditions above.
9. Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in this Refunds and Returns Policy excludes, restricts or modifies any rights you may have under Australian Consumer Law.
If a product does not meet a consumer guarantee, you may be entitled to a remedy under Australian Consumer Law. Depending on the issue, this may include a repair, replacement, refund or other suitable resolution.
This policy does not remove or replace your consumer guarantee rights.
