Atomos AtomX CAST HDMI Multicamera Switcher Module

Atomos AtomX CAST turns a compatible Ninja monitor-recorder into a four-input HDMI production switcher with hardware input buttons, multiview, picture-in-picture, graphics overlays, program recording and USB UVC streaming in a compact desktop module.

Four HDMI 1.4b inputs accept supported HD feeds up to 1080p60. The attached Ninja provides program, preview and multiview monitoring, while a dedicated HDMI program output is available on CAST and USB-C UVC can feed compatible streaming software on a computer.

Eight PNG graphics can be stored for overlays, while picture-in-picture allows any input to be placed over another in multiple positions and sizes. When paired with a supported Ninja, the switched program can be recorded in compatible Apple ProRes or Avid DNxHD formats.

Compatibility

Requires a compatible Ninja, Ninja Ultra, Ninja V or Ninja V+. CAST connects through the AtomXpansion interface and does not provide module pass-through. It is an HD switcher and should not be treated as a 4K switching module.
