Atomos CFexpress Card Reader

Atomos CFexpress Card Reader

The Atomos CFexpress Card Reader gives CFexpress Type B users a USB4 offload path with up to 40Gbps of host-interface bandwidth, helping move large ProRes RAW and high-bitrate video files without an older USB connection becoming the obvious bottleneck.

The compact aluminium-alloy enclosure is designed to dissipate heat during sustained transfers, making it suitable for field backup stations as well as edit-suite use. It can also present supported CFexpress media as external storage to a compatible computer.

The 40Gbps figure describes the USB4 interface, not guaranteed card speed; real transfer performance depends on the card, computer, cable, destination storage and thermal conditions.
