The Atomos CFexpress Card Reader is a USB4 reader for CFexpress Type B media, designed to move high-bitrate video and RAW files to a computer at interface speeds of up to 40Gbps.

For next-generation Atomos monitor-recorders using CFexpress Type B, the reader provides a direct USB-C offload path that can also be used like an external storage device for supported workflows. The aluminium-alloy enclosure is designed to dissipate heat during sustained transfers without the bulk of a desktop dock.

USB4 offers substantially more interface bandwidth than older USB generations, but actual file-copy speed is determined by the CFexpress card, computer, USB controller, cable and file workload.
