Atomos StudioSonic Shotgun Microphone combines a supercardioid production mic, 2.4GHz wireless receiver, analogue 3.5mm output and 48kHz/24-bit USB-C audio so one microphone can move between camera, recorder, computer and wireless location workflows.

The 224mm aluminium microphone is designed to concentrate pickup toward the subject while reducing more off-axis sound than an omnidirectional design. Low-cut filtering and a high-frequency boost help tailor dialogue capture, while up to 130dB SPL handling provides useful headroom for louder sources.

Wireless operation uses the supplied receiver with less than 20ms specified delay, while direct wired operation extends battery life and removes the need for the radio link when the microphone is close to the camera or recorder.
