The Atomos TX-RX set provides a complete 5GHz wireless video link in one kit, pairing a transmitter and receiver rated for up to 300 metres line of sight with HDMI support up to 4K30 and 3G-SDI support up to 1080p60.

The transmitter accepts HDMI or 3G-SDI and provides an HDMI loop-through, while the receiver offers two HDMI outputs plus one 3G-SDI output. This makes the kit flexible enough for a camera feed to reach a director monitor, recorder, display or switcher without requiring identical connector types at both ends.

Both units use aluminium housings, weigh 231g each and support NP-F batteries or 9–16V external power. Nine selectable 5GHz channels and an approximately 60ms specified latency give the system a practical balance of range and responsiveness for monitoring.

Compatibility

Wireless performance depends on RF conditions and clear line of sight. 4K support is through the HDMI path; 3G-SDI is limited to supported HD formats. Check the output format of the camera and the input format of the destination monitor or recorder before deployment.
