When the weather moves beyond the Outdoor bags' normal weather resistance, the Peak Design Outdoor Rain Fly adds a fully taped waterproof shell designed to protect the entire backpack in sustained rain.

Terra Shell™ 50D recycled ripstop nylon uses a 2,000mm hydrostatic coating and fully taped seams to prevent water reaching the pack through the rain cover itself. The cover is cut in three separate size ranges so it can fit closely instead of relying on one oversized universal shape.

The fly packs down very small when the forecast is clear, making it practical to leave in an outdoor or travel kit. It is intended as supplemental weather protection and does not make openings left uncovered by incorrect installation waterproof.
